For ISPs and IT teams

Network monitoring for ISPs and IT teams

One small binary to watch routers, switches, OLTs, ONUs and any SNMP device, including servers with SNMP enabled. Small or large network, with alerts on WhatsApp.

  • SNMP v2c / v3
  • OLT · ONU
  • NetFlow · BGP

Why NetNMS

Monitoring that stays simple

Many monitoring setups mean installing and joining several components. NetNMS ships as one small binary and covers what ISP and IT teams watch every day.

One small binary

Go backend and React web UI in a single binary. Runs on Linux and Windows. PostgreSQL stores configuration and events, and a built-in time-series database stores metrics.

Made for ISP networks

OLT and ONU status, optical power, BGP sessions, NetFlow and LLDP topology live in one web UI.

Alerts where your team is

WhatsApp, Telegram, e-mail and webhook notifications, with routing by severity, escalation and a delivery log.

  • 1sLive traffic graph for any port
  • 4Notification channels
  • 7Device template families
  • 2Operating systems for the server

Who it is for

For ISPs and for IT teams

NetNMS began with ISP networks. It works for any organisation that runs devices speaking SNMP, from a small office to a large network.

Internet service providers

  • GPON and EPON OLT and ONU status with optical Rx/Tx power
  • BGP sessions and a NetFlow / BGP NOC view
  • LLDP topology maps with live link colours
  • Availability and 95th percentile traffic reports
ISP network monitoring

IT companies and enterprises

  • Routers, switches and any device that speaks SNMP v2c or v3
  • Linux and Windows servers with SNMP enabled, plus ICMP ping up/down
  • From a small office to a large multi-site network
  • Syslog and SNMP trap receivers in the same place

Live network map

See what is wrong, and where

Maps use live colours, so a failing link or a down device stands out at once. Click through to the port, the OLT or the ONU.

  • LLDP neighbours are discovered automatically and drawn as links between ports.
  • Link colours follow utilisation and status.
  • Sub-maps and a background image let you match your own sites.
  • Open any port to watch a live 1-second traffic graph.

How it works

Up and running in three steps

  1. Install

Run the single NetNMS binary on Linux or Windows.

  2. Add devices

Create sites, import devices from CSV and add SNMP v2c or v3 credentials. Templates are matched automatically.

  3. Watch and get alerts

Use dashboards, maps and reports. Alerts go to WhatsApp, Telegram, e-mail or webhook.

FAQ

Common questions

What is NetNMS?

NetNMS is a web-based network monitoring system. It is one small binary (Go backend, React web UI) for Linux and Windows, made by Anexg Tech in India.

Who is NetNMS for?

Internet service providers first. It also suits IT companies and any organisation that wants to monitor a small or large network.

Which devices can it monitor?

Any device that speaks SNMP v2c or v3, plus ICMP ping up/down. Ready templates exist for Cisco, Huawei (including NE40E), Juniper EX, V-SOL and BDCOM OLTs, Grandstream and generic SNMP.

Can it monitor Linux and Windows servers?

Yes, when SNMP is enabled on the server. NetNMS reads what the server exposes over SNMP and checks it with ICMP ping.

Does it monitor OLTs and ONUs?

Yes. GPON and EPON OLT and ONU monitoring shows ONU status, serial and optical Rx/Tx power. Some devices do not expose optical power over SNMP.

How does it send alerts?

Through a WhatsApp gateway, Telegram, e-mail or webhook, routed by severity, with escalation, grouping and a delivery log.

What do I need to run it?

Linux or Windows and PostgreSQL for configuration and events. NetNMS has its own built-in time-series database for metrics.

Is device config backup available?

Not yet. It is planned and marked Coming soon.
