Use cases

Network monitoring for IT companies and enterprises

NetNMS monitors any device that speaks SNMP v2c or v3, including Linux and Windows servers with SNMP enabled, switches, routers and other network gear, and checks them with ICMP ping. It suits small offices and large multi-site networks, with maps, alerts, reports and syslog and trap receivers in one web UI.

Servers and network devices together

Add Linux and Windows servers with SNMP enabled next to your switches and routers, and see them in the same dashboards and maps.

From small to large

Organise devices by site, import them from CSV and give people access with users and roles.

Logs, traps and alerts

Receive syslog and SNMP traps, set alert rules and send notifications to WhatsApp, Telegram, e-mail or webhook.

Questions about this feature

Is NetNMS only for ISPs?

No. It was built for ISP networks, but IT companies and any organisation can use it to monitor small or large networks of SNMP devices.

Can it monitor Linux and Windows servers?

Yes, when SNMP is enabled on the server. NetNMS reads what the server exposes over SNMP and checks it with ICMP ping.

What if a device does not support SNMP?

NetNMS can still check it with ICMP ping for up or down status, latency and packet loss.
