How devices are matched
NetNMS matches a template automatically by sysObjectID and sysDescr. Templates are JSON files.
NetNMS monitors any device that speaks SNMP v2c or v3 and checks reachability with ICMP ping. Ready device templates exist for Cisco, Huawei (including the NE40E core router), Juniper EX, V-SOL and BDCOM OLTs and Grandstream, plus a generic SNMP template. Linux and Windows servers can be monitored when SNMP is enabled.
Product names belong to their owners and are listed only to show which templates exist.
